Currently, Snap offers a Lens Creator rewards program that allows creators to monetize AR effects. With the new shopping capabilities, the company is strategically focusing on designer monetization and sustainable business models for external developers. While the success of this initiative remains uncertain, Snap is preparing to enhance the consumer AR experience beyond just entertainment.

Moreover, Snap has already rolled out impressive AR features, including a standalone experience for viewing Spotlight videos and a more powerful web browser, alongside a real-time translation lens. Collaborations with brands like Tripadvisor for AR lenses are also in the pipeline, promising to elevate users’ interactions with real-world establishments.
