Anthropic Brings Claude Code to iOS and the Web

At the end of February, Anthropic announced Claude Code, which has quickly become one of the company’s crowning achievements. Over the past eight months, this coding agent has forged a unique niche in an ever-competitive AI market. Now, Anthropic aims to broaden access for developers by launching a new web interface for Claude Code.

To use Claude Code, simply connect it to your GitHub repositories. The process mimics the experience of using a terminal; users simply describe their requirements, and the agent takes over, providing real-time progress updates and allowing modifications via additional prompts. The capability to assign multiple coding tasks to Claude Code through the web interface enables enhanced productivity.

“Every Claude Code task runs in an isolated sandbox environment, ensuring network and filesystem restrictions. Interactions with Git are managed through a secure proxy service to protect your code and credentials,” Anthropic explained. This focus on security enhances user confidence in leveraging Claude Code for various projects.

In tandem with the new web interface, Anthropic has also released a preview of Claude Code in its iOS app. Although still in the early stages, the company encourages user feedback to refine the mobile integration.

Pro and Max users can access Claude Code on the web today. However, it’s important to note that any cloud sessions will follow the same rate limits as other Claude Code usages, ensuring a structured and reliable experience.
