YELASTAR — CELEBRITY PERSONALIZED VIDEO BOOKING PLATFORM

The idea of the project

YelaStar is a Cameo-style platform where fans book personalized video messages from African celebrities and influencers — musicians, comedians, reality TV stars, athletes, actors, and business figures. Users browse stars by category, submit a video request with occasion details (birthday, wedding, encouragement, and more), pay through a local payment gateway, and receive the finished video.

The technology used

My Role

I built the full platform: a public-facing web app, an admin dashboard for managing stars/categories/video uploads/order tracking, and a companion mobile app mirroring the web experience, all sharing the same Supabase backend. The payment flow integrates the Djomey gateway (built for the West African market) with automated email notifications to both the admin and the client at each step.
