Apple’s Latest iPad Pro Gets a Power Boost with the New M5 Chip

Apple has officially launched its latest 11- and 13-inch iPad Pro models, now equipped with the innovative M5 chip. This new upgrade is the first rollout of the M5 chip, enhancing the performance compared to last year’s iPad Pro models featuring the M4 chip. For creatives and power users seeking an alternative to laptops, these advancements make the new iPad Pro a compelling option.

The M5 chip utilizes TSMC’s 3-nanometer process, a significant technological leap from previous designs. The entry-level iPad Pro models come with either 256GB or 512GB storage, featuring a 9-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. Moreover, the larger 1TB and 2TB variants boast a fourth performance core and 16GB of RAM. Apple’s claim of more than four times the peak GPU performance compared to the M4 will undoubtedly appeal to gamers and professionals alike.

Battery life remains consistent at 10 hours, and, for the first time, the iPad Pro supports fast charging, allowing users to recharge quickly. Additionally, the new C1X modem introduces optional 5G connectivity, enhancing online capabilities.

The ultra-thin design of the 2025 iPad Pro models ensures portability, with the 11-inch variant weighing in at just under one pound. Both models feature stunning “tandem” OLED Ultra Display XDR screens, ideal for HDR content editing and viewing.

Available for pre-order starting at $999 for the 11-inch model and $1,299 for the 13-inch, the new iPad Pro promises a superior experience to its predecessors. Scheduled to hit stores on October 22, these devices are attracting significant attention in the tech community.
